Word is Out

We went to dinner with some of our friends for Nick’s birthday tonight and finally told them we bought a house. We have been working on this for months, but really did not tell anyone. That has all changed now!

I stood there and told them that it’s a “turd”. That it really is a piece of shit, but I think they did not believe me or thought I was exaggerating. Nick’s brother just looked at me and we read each other’s minds, “They have no idea!” We put the inspection report on the TV (I love AppleTV) for everyone to see the awesome pictures. Then they understood. Then they believed me. Then they felt sorry for me…

But they all said, “You are totally going to make it look awesome! We know what you can do to houses! I can’t wait to see it complete!” While that’s flattering, and I am happy that they have such faith in us, it scares me a bit. That’s a lot of pressure – what if we decide to throw our hands up and give up at some point?

We explained how we are closing at the end of February and that we will have an open house for everyone to see the BEFORE. Stay tuned – I already have ideas brewing about the invite to our Open House…
